During the month of May, the Kokomo Rescue Mission dining room served 9,980 meals to hungry and hurting people. That is more than any single month since July of 2014! There are several reasons for this increase. Executive Director, Van Taylor states, “if the opiate epidemic is not addressed, it has the potential to profoundly change the culture of our community.”
As the number of meals served increases, our supplies are depleting more rapidly. The Kokomo Rescue Mission invites members of our community to come together to meet the needs of our neighbors. Every donation makes an immediate impact in the lives of others. The Mission currently needs industrial (#10) size cans of fruit. Donations can be brought to the Mission office at 321 W. Mulberry Street.
