BLACKPINK member Jennie has announced her new solo single titled ‘You & Me’ via the official BLACKPINK Instagram. “You & Me” will arrive on Friday (October 6) at 1pm KST (12am ET), according to an official teaser poster.
In a press release about the upcoming release of ‘You & Me’, YG Entertainment said via The K-pop Herald: “@BLACKPINK Jennie’s “You & Me” is officially coming out on Oct. 6! 
Making the announcement just now, YG said, “We hope the song becomes a special gift through which fans remember their memories from ‘Born Pink’ tour.” #JENNIE #YouAndMe #BLACKPINK”
In announcing the release, YG Entertainment said: “We decided to officially release it out of gratitude to the fans who ardently followed and supported us during the ‘Born Pink’ world tour. We hope it will serve as a special memento, rekindling the emotion of that time.”
Jennie first debuted ‘You & Me’ during the opening concert of BLACKPINK’s ‘Born Pink’ world tour at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, South Korea in October 2022. A remixed version of the song was also featured during the BLACKPINK’s headlining sets at Coachella 2023, as well as their appearance at BST Hyde Park in July 2023.
‘You & Me’ will be Jennie’s first release since she made her solo debut in 2018 with ‘Solo’. Earlier this year, the singer also appeared on ‘One of the Girls’ with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp from the soundtrack of HBO’s The Idol.
