The city of Kokomo lost 34 people to overdose in 2018. The Gilead House is a nonprofit transitional housing facility in Kokomo that provides services to females in the community struggling with addiction. Many residents of Howard County as well as surrounding counties benefit from the Gilead House’s housing, outpatient therapy, and addiction recovery classes.
