3 Things that have brought me joy this month!

Hello!

Welcome to November! We are a week away from Thanksgiving! Can you believe it? I can’t wait to eat some fantastic food and spend time with family at home. Thanksgiving is always a great time to take stock of the blessings in your life. Let’s face it- 2020 has been hard for everyone and it’s be really really hard to see the silver lining at times. But there ARE still blessings if you take a close look. So. I decided to make a small simple list of 3 things that I am grateful for and that have brought me joy this month.

  1. My weighted blanket. Holy. Freaking. Cow. If you don’t own a weighted blanket- you need to. (Maybe something to add to your Christmas Wish List!) Weighted blankets are great for a lot of reasons. One of the biggest- to combat anxiety. It’s used in children with sensory issues as well. It makes you feel safe and warm. And I haven’t taken a better nap than I have with that blanket!
  2. Christmas Lights- Did you know that people who decorate for Christmas earlier tend to be happier people?! I can vouch for this! I’ve recently fallen into a routine in which I get home, turn on my Christmas tree and find a good book or movie to enjoy. Get those Christmas lights out and enjoy the sparkle! You won’t regret it!
  3. BTS- What? BTS? Like the superstar K-Pop group from South Korea? YES! Lol. Let me explain. I LOVE watching any of BTS’ music videos. They’re so talented. I’ve never seen any performers dance better. It leaves me in awe. This also is apart of my ‘learning something new’ goal. Opening my mind up to things I wouldn’t typically gravitate towards. I love them! Find some good music you love and enjoy!

There it is. Thank you God for these little things that make life more enjoyable!
