We all know that life can be lonely at times. And sometimes, its easy to compare our lives to Hollywood lives and think that we are missing out. It turns out we really aren’t. The Queen of Pop herself Britney Spears has broken her silence and opened up to talk to us a little bit about what fame is like.
She recently posted a picture on her Instagram account with the quote “Pay close attention to the people who don’t clap when you win.” I’ve seen this quote a lot on Pinterest and Facebook. It’s not new to me. But it was interesting to see if posted from her.
Underneath it, is what was interesting to me. she commented “”Living in LA is such a trip!!! It can be lonely at times. You never know who to trust, and some people can be fake… I have a very small circle of friends, and simply do what makes me happy!!!” One of the richest women in the world saying she is also the loneliest? Doesn’t seem logical right? But the more I thought about it the more it made sense. Hollywood life is very fake. If you spend any time in LA, you’ll realize that it feels like its a totally different world. People who are wanting to be celebrities. People walking around holding their little dogs and wearing expensive clothes. But none of these things make people happy. Material items will never make anyone happy. It’s really cool to see Britney understanding this concept and putting it out there for her fans. Sometimes it seems like if you don’t have a billion friends- you aren’t worthwhile. Again, she proves us wrong on this part as well. It’s not the quantity of friends- but quality.
